My 23rd blog entry is dated October 23, 2003 and did not have a title, which is weird because I love making up names for my entries. Not like I’m saying, “OK…I’ll call this entry Bob and I’ll call the next entry Larry!” However I like to put an interesting enough title out there that would make people want to read it and incorporate it into the first sentence of my entry. So, since I didn’t have a “real” title, we’ll call this my title: Do you ever have a situation where you look back at what you did or said and feel like a complete putz?
My 5th sentence was this: I know how it feels and I hate being uncomfortable, so I really do not want to inflict that on anyone else, ya know?
I can’t remember what I did, but I can remember how I felt when I wrote that entry. Weird, huh? I was so embarrassed and it takes quite a bit to embarrass me.
Another interesting tidbit is that later in that post, I said that it was the 7th anniversary of my Mom’s death. Truth be told, I can’t remember the date that Mom passed away. I just remember it was late October 1996 and my sister and I were relieved she hadn’t died on Halloween.
Isn’t it strange that a day that changed my life so profoundly cannot seem to stay within my brain? I think some of it has to do with the fact that we’re going on 9 years since she passed away and also, things were so chaotic in those days leading up to and after she died, that it was hard to hang on to a thing like a date and time.
Hmmm……
Anway, I’m supposed to tag folks to participate in this Meme, however I’m just going to ask anyone who wants to complete it to do so. It would be cool if you let me know that you did it so I can read all about it! Just leave me a comment!
